10/16 can not be reduced to 5/8
In 6th grade math its okay and even expected, but not when we are talking about the fine art of hearing, creating and analyzing odd metered music.
You can be so crass as to assume 5/8 & 10/16 are the same, but it would technically be an odd time lie. (It happens ya know.)

My Dad

He suggested that I write in 9/11 - he said that would really screw up the orchestra. Yes he does realize that I would have to invent my own system..... I might need his mathematical help - can it be done.....???? nothing is impossible right???
